  1. alex dela rosa says:

Rev. Kleyn, if the evils that happened to man comes from God, as judgment/punishment to the reprobate and judgment/chastisement to the elect, is it correct to state as matter of theology that the evils that happened to man is from the will of God, or is there a better way of correctly saying it or a line of thinking that will make it less offensive?

  2. Hello Bro. Alex. Yes, the will (eternal counsel) of God is behind all evils. The way we would state this is that God is absolutely sovereign over all evils (something I discussed in detail and demonstrated from Scripture in my first speech). Nothing happens by chance, but all things (including all evils, all the deeds of the devil and wicked men, etc.) were eternally planned by God, and now happen according to God’s eternal plan. God’s will is all-comprehensive — it includes all things both big and small, good and bad, pleasant and difficult, etc.
